I love being an urban girl. I really do. But sometimes I long for the suburban megastores of my childhood, places that will sell me furniture AND popcorn AND a set of picnic plates AND the DVD of The Way We Were. When this happens, I visit Target in Martinez. You can spend a few hours "shoppertaining" here and still not spend very much money, even though you come away with new clothes, a book, earrings, chocolate and 5 pairs of underwear for $10. It's a store full of new stuff at used prices, and while the quality is not great, the flood of shoppertaining nostalgia is guaranteed to hold you for at least a month.
