Disney's California Adventure park is just across the plaza from Disneyland. I was skeptical at first -- why would I want to pay to get into California Adventure? Don't I already live the California Adventure just by virtue of being a San Francisco resident? -- but when I was given a free pass to the park one day, my mind changed in a hurry. Though I am and always will be loyal to Disneyland, the CA has many outstanding factors that make it well worth a visit. The rides are more traditionally thrilling, as opposed to Disneyland's focus on animatronics and singing animals. You'll also find characters from newer Disney films, especially Pixar faces like Sully from Monsters, Inc., and characters from Toy Story. If you've got the extra cash to spare and have had your fill of traditional Disney, I highly recommend checking out the Adventure.
