Mission Dolores

You can visit Mission Dolores, the mission from which the Mission District takes its name, to get a little slice of San Francisco history. Tour the old mission within the newer building, founded by Father Junipero Serra himself, or take a turn through the graveyard. It's a lovely, peaceful spot, and you can find the graves of a few notable Californian figures.
