Hear hear! La Note

It is widely agreed that the best way to feel French without actually going to France is to have brunch at La Note in Berkeley. The menu is dripping with buttery, saucy wonders, not to mention overflowing with cinnamony breads and rolls of all descriptions. And the atmosphere is properly Mediterranean, with warm yellow walls, spindly iron chairs, and homemade jam on the tables. This brunch will leave your tongue doing happy little dances in your mouth, but be warned: the joint is POPULAR. Show up early or expect a 2 hour wait on weekends.
