When it comes to corner stores, SF admittedly has very few that can compete with the bodegas of New York. However, New Rosenberg's Deli on Noe Street is a nice little neighborhood shop. You can find all the usual products of your standard corner store -- everything from milk to real maple syrup, from cheap beer to decent champagne -- and also you can buy the homemade Mediterranean fair sold cheap at the counter. The store is staffed by a few sweet old men and one friendly younger fellow, making it a real treat to shop there. They also have a great selection of ice cream pints, but you have to go all the way to the back. They hide them back there, like porn in a video store.
