Gorey Story

The annual Edwardian Ball is a celebration of all things Edwardian -- which, of course, includes the peerless author and illustrator, Edward Gorey, whose faux-Edwardian, uber-Gothic characters have been delighting the gloomy hearts of adults and children for years. Come dressed in your best Edwardian gear, or costume it up as a Gorey character and float around with a lachrymose look on your face. The Ball is soundtracked by the best and strangest orchestras in the city, and in these sweeping gowns and dapper top hats, dancing is a must.
