Our illustrious Mayor Gavin Newsom is largely beloved by residents after he threw open the doors of City Hall shortly after taking office and declared that San Francisco would legally recognize gay marriage. Though the State of California later overruled him, Newsom remains committed to the idea of equality for all, and has even declared this to be a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants. Because of these things, and because he is a tall, smart, articulate, handsome drink of water, many of us also have kind of a crush on him. Though he is now engaged, nothing is stopping you from showing up at City Hall in a wedding dress and a sly smile to try the Mayor on for size. Nothing, that is, except many armed policemen.
