The back garden at Paradou on Little West 12th St is a great place to disappear with a date or small group. There's a clear retractable roof and the area is heated -- like a mini-oasis from the concrete and bricks of the MPD.
Nothing about Paradou is fancy (it's a bistro) but the French food is authentic & fantastic (and the French wine list is outstanding and very reasonably priced).
